The river flows through the park and provides the only permanent water for the wildlife. The Park is famous for its large population of elephants and more than 550 species of birds. These creatures are among the fauna that roam the park's grounds, dotted with baobab trees, acacia woodlands, high grasses, and seasonal swamps.

The Park is also home to buffalo, zebra, and wildebeest. Predators such as lions and leopards closely follow these animals. Absorb the scenic beauty of the landscape and wildlife from an open roof of the vehicle. The lunch area is fascinating, boasting an observatory with amazing views of the river and wildlife (with good chances of seeing a hunt while having your picnic). Day 3: KARATU >> NGORONGORO CRATER >> SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, drive to the rim of the Ngorongoro crater where you will descend into the crater for a fabulous game drive. Your lunch box is to be served in the crater. This region has often been described as the "eighth wonder of the world" and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest unbroken volcanic caldera. The 2,000-foot-deep crater formed when a volcano exploded and collapsed on itself some 2 to 3 million years ago.

A rich grassy pasture covers the crater floor and provides favourable conditions for grazing animals such as lions, zebras, gazelles, buffalo, and warthogs, to name a few. This natural enclosure is a haven for some of Tanzania's endangered black rhinos. Later in the afternoon, ascend from the Ngorongoro crater, and drive to Serengeti National Park.  Overnight - Serengeti Heritage Camp

As for Big Cats and large predators, it's the place of choice to look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas, with many television scenes like the famous river crossings having been filmed in this park.
